  • Sit in a very comfortable position
  • You can also choose to sit on a chair 
  • Your shoulders should be loosened up, relax the body and take a deep breath 
  • Inhale and exhale slowly 
  • Now, place the hands on your thighs 
  • , palms facing upwards 
  • Slowly bring the tips of the thumb, middle, and index fingers together. All will point upward 
  • Curl your ring finger towards the base of the thumb 
  • Again inhale deeply and fill the belly 
  • Exhale the air out 
  • Now, you will have to observe the rise and fall of the abdomen throughout the process 
  • Practice this for just six minutes and then relax 

Duration of Practicing Mahasirs Mudra 

You should practice this mudra for 6 minutes in one sitting. Do this two or three times a day, 6 minutes of each sitting, when you have a severe headache. It is said to be the best mudra performed at the end of alternate nostrils while doing pranayama. This mudra cures sinus issues, relieves eye strain, and improves concentration.
